Tips: General Troubleshooting for Carbonator ProUpdated 3 months ago

If the issue is connected to CARBONATION (insufficient bubbles, unexpected sounds etc while the machine is still technically acting normal.) or there is some sort of some WATER or GAS LEAK (can be during carbonation or when the machine is not used), the following things need to be checked first:

  • Ensure the cylinder is screwed in properly (it should not be possible to turn it any further).

  • Test with a new cylinder (even if the current one is already new - sometimes the valve may be faulty or the cylinder can be empty).

  • Inspect the gas-block gasket (seal, o-ring, washer, rubber) located in the compartment where the cylinder is attached - not around the nozzle. If damaged or missing, the seal needs to be replaced with the spare one. You can find details about possible issues and how to replace the seal in the Carbonator Pro here: Checking and replacing the gas-block gasket.

  • For issues with water collecting in the drip tray, a seal around the nozzle has ti be checked too. More details can be found here: Water in the drip tray.

If the troubleshooting steps did not help, the machine most likely has to be replaced. Please identify which of the below is the cause of the issue, and (if no extra troubleshooting is provided), register the credit claim.

If the issue is MECHANICAL - meaning that the machine’s parts are damaged or its functionality is affected due to a mechanical problem - please refer to the list below for possible causes and troubleshooting steps:

If the machine does not work at all from the very beginning, it's important to try another gas cylinder first to rule out any potential issues originating from the cylinder itself. If that does not help, the machine can be replaced and registered as DOA (dead on arrival).
