The magnetic float tracks the water level and ensures the boiler doesn’t overheat. If it becomes stuck, the machine will automatically shut off after about 1.5 minutes as a built-in safety precaution.
How to Check the Magnetic Float
Remove the lid of the water tank and look inside, on the left-hand side.
You should see a small black floating piece — this is the magnetic float.
If the float is stuck at the top or bottom of the tank, it can cause the machine to shut off early.

How to Fix It
If the float appears stuck:
Gently release it using a non-metallic object, such as a chopstick or similar tool.
Avoid sharp or metal items, as these could damage the tank.
Once released, ensure the float moves freely up and down when the tank is filled with water.
Tips for Prevention
Clean the water tank regularly to prevent limescale or residue buildup — especially if you live in an area with hard water.
Use a clean vessel when filling the tank to avoid introducing residue or coffee particles. Even small traces of minerals or oils can accumulate over time and cause the float to stick.
