If the grinder does not turn on, or if the motor is not running or is running very slowly, the gap between the base and the grind size wheel should be checked to ensure it is not too large. The wheel should sit very close to the base — the gap should be so small that even a credit card cannot fit through.
Firm pressure may need to be applied, as adjusting it can be slightly tricky. If the wheel cannot be turned, it may need to be completely removed and then reattached.
