The carafe is made from ~1.6 mm thick borosilicate glass. While not shatterproof, it is highly heat-resistant and withstands rapid temperature changes up to 165 &#xB0;C (300 &#xB0;F). If a carafe breaks during normal use, replacement carafes are available for purchase for both models. If the carafe arrives broken, it should be replaced free of charge.&#xA0;
